A lively service, full of spirit, youth orchestra, choir in the congregation and a special solo from one of the younger members (clapped for the excellency of the praise!). Sam's sermon referred back to the end of the lent course and how we might have got the message about the spirit wrong. He drew attention to the pentecostal colours of the altar flower decoration, so here they are!

Lord Jesus Christ, pour your Holy Spirit upon the Church that we may speak of you anew in each generation. Grant that we may interpret your gospel in ways relevant to each new age and as the highest hope and deepest need of all people, so that all may see in you their Lord and Saviour. Amen.
